Workshops and Concerts

About Pacem Workshops and Festival Concerts

Workshops and Festival Concerts take place at Pacem Music Studio, 62 Sherburne Road South, Lexington, Ma 02421. They are free and open to the public, and you are invited to attend. For more information, please contact Carroll Ann Bottino at 781-862-3337.

Regular features of our Workshops:

All students deliver program notes relative to the composers and their pieces that they are performing.

All students participate in our musical terminology game. Performers draw the terminologies used from a hat when they come to perform. Correct answers come with rewards!

All Piano II and above students choose a ‘Challenge Key Signature’ at the beginning of the academic year. At our Fall, Winter & Spring Workshops, they present their progress on the Scale, Cadence and Arpeggio of their ‘Challenge Key Signature’. These performances also come with rewards!

Students at Piano II level and above present the Hanon Exercise they are currently working on and the Scale, Cadence and/or Arpeggio of the pieces they are presenting.

At Pacem Concerts:

All students deliver program notes relative to the composers and their pieces that they are performing.
